Oral Communication Across the Curriculum

Overview:  Oral Communication Across the Curriculum (OCAC) at Missouri S&T provides support for students and faculty who are involved in Oral Communication-intensive and Oral Communication-emphasized courses.

Faculty engaged in designing and teaching such courses may consult with Speech Communication Center personnel for assistance in developing and integrating appropriate oral communication pedagogies and evaluation methods into their curricula.  Faculty members may contact W. Lance Haynes.

Students may visit the Speech Communication Center Help Lab in G-7A H/SS for assistance in preparing and rehearsing their oral communication assignments/skills.  Trained student assistants staff the Help Lab during regularly scheduled hours each week and will be happy to provide help with:

• Presentation design
• PowerPoint Applications
• Visual Aids
• Videotaped Rehearsals
